Great Place for a Downsizing Couple

It was really only a matter of time before the wife and I started looking for an apartment for rent in Las Vegas. After our youngest son finally went off to college, both of us looked around at the large home in which we raised a large family for the last thirty years and we both knew it was time to move into something smaller and more manageable. Both of us are getting up in years, and it’s just too hard to keep everything up. The yard work alone is tiresome, and awful too in the hard heat of the summer.

My wife’s health is another consideration. The doctors diagnosed her with Type 2 diabetes a couple of years ago and she has some problems that require us to be somewhat close to a hospital if something should go wrong. We wanted to find a one bedroom apartment close to the hospital where her primary doctor has privileges, and we also wanted to find a place that is easy on our budget. We didn’t need a lot of bells and whistles, just a nice place filled with nice people that is safe and close to restaurants and grocery stores.

I found a beautiful place in North Vegas that seemed to fit the bill. They have nice amenities, such as washers and dryers in each apartment, as well as high speed internet access (which I love because I spend a lot of time online). My wife made a big deal about the gorgeous kitchen. She likes to cook and she couldn’t wait to use the very modern kitchen to try out all of her diabetes recipes. We’re both pretty happy to be moving in here and saving a lot of money to boot. I’m happy I won’t have to do any yard work anymore!
